Web content

Writing for the web is a specialised skill, because web content uses a different style from printed media.  It needs to be shorter, more concise, and use formatting techniques that help the reader find information quickly.

I’ve written content for websites for the Ministries of Education and Health, and I’ve completed a Diploma in Web Content on writing for the web.

Contact me if you need:

  • clear, easy-to-read content for your website
  • proofreading and editing of your existing website content
  • a review of your website content for compliance with the New Zealand Government Web Standards.

Whether you are communicating in-house or externally, I can write, edit, and produce your newsletters.  I’ve designed and authored newsletters and articles for newsletters for the Ministry of Education and my own digital media business.

Press releases

Press releases need to highlight your key messages in an attention-grabbing way. I can help you with this. I’ve written numerous press releases for government agencies on topics including international education and assisted reproductive technologies.

If you need an article, I have years of research experience and I’ve written articles on my areas of personal interest, including tramping, travel, and digital media.

If you need to consult with clients, customers, or stakeholders, I can help.  I’ve developed consultation documents and feedback forms, run focus groups, conducted telephone interviews, and managed surveys.  I can produce your consultation documents, collate responses, analyse submissions, and provide you with recommendations based on consultation outcomes.

If you are producing or publishing a report, I can assist with structure, content, and layout, or write the whole report for you. I’ve prepared and published reports for the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, Education New Zealand Trust, the International Education Appeal Authority, and numerous education providers.
